Our L.I.T program is a volunteer program, allowing teens to gain community involvement hours while also working under the supervision of an experienced camp counsellor and director. L.I.Ts gain valuable knowledge and skills in an active, outdoor day camp environment. Included in the program is a pre-camp orientation, a CreateU volunteer t-shirt and a volunteer confirmation letter upon completion of a minimum of 40 hours. Participants are to be actively engaged in the camp experience with assigned duties & activities.
Please Note: There is no discount on Leadership in Training programs. L.I.Ts must have completed Grade 8-11.

Duties & Activities
Daily Chores to ensure camp is running smoothly and safely
Helping with supervision of campers under the guidance of senior staff
Engaging as a mentor in all the activities offered to the campers

8:00 - Arrival+ Team Daily Debriefing (punctuality is essential!)
8:30-8:45 am - Camper Drop-off /Arrival
8:45-9:45 am - Camper games, warm up activities
9:45-10:15 am - Program Activities / Workshops facilitated by leaders and volunteers
10:15-10:45 am - Washroom, Water Refill & Snack Break
10:45-12:00 pm - Program Activities & Workshops
12:00-1:00 pm - Lunch, Clean up, Washroom Breaks, Sunscreen & Bug Spray
1:00-2:00 pm - Special Guest & Signature Workshops (Facilitated by 3rd Party)
2:00-2:15 pm - Snack & Washrooms
2:15-3:15 pm - Program Activities
3:20-3:40 pm - Camper Pick Up & Departure (Volunteers must remain on site)
3:40-4:00 pm - Camp Clean up & Chores
4:00 pm - Volunteer Pick Up
4:00-5:30 pm - Afternoon Extended Care (Optional)
